I’m so happy I found this! I love that it’s so detailed. Also, Zoori can be spelled any number of ways: zouri, zoori, zori, zuri… I guess it’s because the original name is written with Japanese characters.

This is a festival in Swarthmore, PA that I participated in with Art Magnet, a non-profit group dedicated to spreading Zoori making globally to raise consciousness of poverty.

As part of my workshop with the kids of artistsforcharity.org, I let them use the Flip recorder to record the Zoori project.
In this video, one of the kids shot me and Maseret cutting fabric. Much to my delight, Tsige and Samri created a stretching game while stretching the t-shirts for the Zoori

T-shirt donations from my church, Forefront, the Paula Dean Show and friends. I ended up carrying two suitcases of t-shirts to Ethiopia and just a carry-on for my own clothes.
